Safe emergency housing for young homeless people in the spare rooms of volunteer hosts.
London Nightstop provided emergency accommodation for homeless young people aged 16 to 25 in the homes of volunteer hosts on a night by night basis.
Nightstop hosts open their homes to young people when they have nowhere else to go and give them a safe place to sleep and a chance to be listened to.
Once placed with a host, young people then receive support from London Nightstop to help them find a more permanent place to live and address the factors which have caused homelessness.
We accommodate 16 to 25 year olds in volunteers' homes at their point of need.
However, as a rule we are unable to accommodate young people who are:
- Under the influence of drugs, alcohol and/or solvents
- Displaying violent or aggressive behaviour
- Showing signs of acute mental/physical health problems
