Choice Support is an innovative national social care charity providing support to people with learning disabilities.
Our values define us. For over 30 years we have enabled people to lead the lives they want with support that’s right for them.
"In what remains challenging times for social care providers, Choice Support has a proactive leadership team who develop forward thinking plans and strategies to secure the continued success of the organisation." Investors in People Silver Assessment Report.
We encourage people who use our services, and their families, to become involved in what we do as much as possible. To give just one example, we believe it’s important that people we support can select their own staff who match their personalities and interests.
Currently about 1700 full and part time Choice Support staff provide services to around 900 people across most of England. We are committed to the on-going professional development of all our staff, and have have been awarded Investors In People silver level, a nationally recognised people management award for effective staffing practices.
Choice Support is governed by a Board of Trustees made up of volunteers, who bring a wide range of skills and experience to the organisation.
Responsibility for the operational management of Choice Support lies with our Senior Management Team.
Three patrons support our work, Dr Nan Carle Beauregard, Professor David Sines CBE and Carmel Kinnear
