Keefield Close is a homely residential home for up to ten working aged adults (18-65 years) with profound physical and learning disabilities, offering 24/7 person-centred care.
The home consists of two spacious bungalows, each accommodating up to 5 adults, and is fully fitted with adaptions and specialist equipment. We also have a Snoezelen in a multi-sensory room and a lovely sensory garden.
There is a stable group of qualified staff, offering continuity of care, making every moment count to provide proactive support. The home has a warm welcoming feel whereby staff have developed strong and understanding relationships with the residents and their families.
Care plans are reviewed on a regular basis, and everyone has their own key worker. The staff team are supported by a talented multi-disciplinary group which includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, a dietician and a speech and language therapist.
We employ a Lifestyles Coordinator who organises with residents exciting activities both within the home and 'out and about' via the use of our on-site vehicle.
Residents are supported with individualised choices to engage with their community, join groups and activities of interest. Support is highly personalised and flexible, enhancing individual personal growth, choice and control.
We welcome family to visit at any time and to be part of strategic decisions concerning the home.
The Friends Group at Keefield is made up of family members and volunteers who successfully fundraise for items and activities that are identified by residents as beneficial to them.
