Located in a pleasant suburb of Colchester in Essex, Treetops is a high dependency centre providing 24 hour nursing and personal care for mainly younger residents.
Staff training and skills include catheter care, Tracheostomy care, spinal injury and acquired brain injury support, peg and training to meet the needs of a range of health conditions while working with the individual towards self-management and personal independence.
The staff team are supported by a talented multi-disciplinary group which includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, a dietician and a speech and language therapist.
There is a physiotherapist treatment room fitted with adaptions, furnishings and up-to-date specialist equipment, used by visiting health professionals.
Your own flat and tailored support
The home consists of individualised self-contained flats and large communal spaces.
Your flat-let is decorated to your specifications prior to moving in, with adaptions and assisted technology to enhance your privacy, safety, autonomy and inclusion.
The staff team work in a person-centred way to ensure your support plan fits fully with your personality, listening to you and making every moment count, enhancing your choice and control with what matters to you so that you are fully empowered and part of the things.
Treetops is an active place, with a real sense of community. The activities co-ordinator and key workers use inclusive communication to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate in an activity which interests them as well as to try something new.
Popular activities include: swimming, bowling, cinema, shopping, restaurants and pubs as well as group trips out to exciting places chosen by residents.
Friends and family are welcomed to visit at any time. There is plenty of room to socialise within the privacy of your own flat or within the large communal areas including the beautiful courtyard garden.
