Person-centred support & valuing your contribution
Support is tailored to enable you to achieve your desired outcomes with a personalised care plan to suit your personality and lifestyle. Every aspect of your care is discussed with you and signed off by you. Staff training includes Active Support, to listen, make every moment count, to enable and maximise your independence, offering timely and relevant support when you most need it.
At Bradbury Court we see the person first before the disability, knowing that conditions affect individuals differently along with fluctuations in ability and wellbeing. The staff team work in a person-centred way offering inclusive communication, continuity of care, flexible support to build on your assets to strengthen your physical, mental, spiritual and social health.
There are always a lot of things to do both in-house and ‘out and about’. Popular in-house activities include billiards, karaoke, bingo, craftwork and painting. You may like to put your name down for group outings to exciting places with pub nights, dinning out, swimming and the theatre being popular among residents.
We are experts at what is available locally, and there is always the opportunity to try something new, with support to join groups, attend church, find varied volunteer placements or a meaningful job, opportunities to make friends and improve your network of support.
Bradbury Court values the contribution by residents in the recruitment, on-going training and appraisal of staff. Residents are actively involved with the decisions concerning their home and have shaped the service in a very positive way.
Family and friends are welcomed to visit at any time. There is a committed group of volunteers who fundraise for additional items or activities identified by residents as being beneficial to them.
Bradbury Court is a friendly home where we value peer support and friendships.
