Organisation details

Livability New Court Place

Organisation type: Other

New Court Place opened in 2000, and is dual registered for residential and nursing care, located just off the main high street in Borehamwood. The home consists of individualised self-contained flats specifically adapted for adults with physical impairments and complex needs associated with disability.

We accept placements from age 16 to 65 years. Our specialisms include Epilepsy care, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and Cerebral Palsy. We have nursing staff that are clinically trained and keen to discuss any health needs with you.

The environment is specifically developed for younger adults with lots to do including outside entertainment hired every week with karaoke being very popular. There is a mini bus for group days out, accessible commuters and an easy route to town; promoting independence and safe travel skills. Socialising and accessing the community for leisure, volunteering and work placements is a key remit of the home.

The staff team promote person-centred values to create a holistic support plan with you which identifies fully with your personality and lifestyle, adhering to your spiritual, health and wellbeing needs. Support is tailored around you and what you need to keep healthy, active and always part of things.

At New Court Place, your own self-contained flat is decorated to your specifications prior to moving in, together with adaptions and identifying assisted technology most suited to further empower you.

Each flat-let consists of flexible living space – kitchenette, sitting room and bedroom with an ensuite wet room & WC. Your own front door can easily be located along a corridor resembling an indoor street, beautifully decorated with sensory colour coding.

Let us work with you to find solutions, build on your strengths and enhance your contribution as an active citizen.
