Latin American Women's Rights Service

Organisation type: Voluntary or Community Sector

The Latin American Women's Rights Service (LAWRS) is a charity that supports the immediate and long-term needs of Latin American women migrants in the UK. Over 4,000 women use our services every year to benefit from practical, legal and emotional support, to learn new skills and to improve their opportunities. LAWRS' mission is to provide tools for growth to empower Latin American women in the UK. Ultimately our main goal is to uphold Latin American women's human rights. Our services include: information, advice, advocacy, casework support, and counselling to address immediate/resettlement needs and employment, integration, development and citizenship activities e.g. volunteering, mentoring, ESOL classes and workshops, we also do policy and campaigning work on recognition.
